2002 The Compton Unified School District.
Fast Track Modular Building

The Compton Unified School District was awarded funding for the William Clinton Elementary School, contingent on construction substantial completion being completed by the end of 2002. MK2 teamed up with the FiberBond Corporation to develop the school programming, design, get DSA approval, preparing the foundations, and build the entire school in 6 months. The facility was constructed in Fairfield, California and shipped to Compton, CA and assembled on site. To accelerate the process, we coordinated with a Southern California Civil Engineering Firm who was familiar with the Compton School Sites.

Clinton School was an entirely new site. It included a full administration office, classrooms, and multi-purpose rooms.

This one of the kind, modern 1,000 student campus, was built in six months. Pre-cast, fully finished modular buildings were transported to the site, and consist of a multipurpose building, two kindergarten buildings, five two story classroom buildings, eight restroom buildings and a communications building.

We provided HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire alarm system construction documents for the building manufacturer. Close cooperation with architect and structural engineers was essential for seamless and fast track construction process.
